Enjoy the congenial atmosphere of the pool with the company of other adults. Participants must be 13 years of age or older to have access at this time.
These water based fitness classes are designed as a medium intensity total body workout, providing a balance of cardiovascular and muscular strength components. These classes will meet the needs of a wide spectrum of fitness levels, and is suitable for novices and advanced participants alike.
An introduction to basic diving. This class involves different jumps, approaches into hurdles, shallow and deep dives. Participants should be at a Dolphin level or higher to participate.
Increase your fitness while swimming in the pool. Lanes are designated by slow, moderate, and faster speeds. Continuous swimming in the lanes is encouraged.
Masters Swim Program
This is a competitive program for adults and teens interested in training with others. Workouts include interval training and drills, as well as stroke correction. This is an ideal program for both competitive swimmers and triathletes.
Recreational swim time for all ages. Swim admission policy in effect.
6+ and Swimmer level or higher. The new Swim Synchro program is a creative routine based synchro orientation program. It's designed to create fun synchro experiences that develop basic synchronized swimming skills. Swimmers will need a nose plug, bathing cap and goggles to truly enjoy this sport.
St Thomas Jumbo Jets Swim Team
The St. Thomas Jumbo Jets Swim Team operates in partnership with the St. Thomas YMCA and has a proud history of competitive swimming which can be traced back to the 1920s. Our team has been located at the St. Thomas YMCA, 20 High Street, St. Thomas, Ontario, since the facility was opened in 1978. The team is fully affiliated with Swim Ontario and Swim/Nation Canada. Our aim is to achieve excellence in swimming at all levels of competition with emphasis on long term development of the swimmer and enjoyment of the sport.

The Y Torpedoes is the YMCA’s non competitive swim team. Participants will have the opportunity to practice once weekly with the guidance from a swim coach and have the opportunity to participate in swim meets with other YMCA locations as organized by the YMCA.
Participants must be able to swim one length, 25m of the pool, before they can join the team.
