Group Fitness Programs

Group Active 
Group Active gives you all the fitness training you need – cardio, strength, balance, and flexibility – in just one hour. Get stronger, fitter, and healthier with inspiring music, adjustable dumbbells, weight plates, body weight, and simple athletic movements. ACTIVATE YOUR LIFE!

Group Core
Group core trains you like an athlete in 30 action-packed minutes. A strong core, from your shoulders to your hips, will improve your athletic performance, help prevent back pain, and give you ripped abs!

Group Groove 
Group Groove is a dance-inspired fitness workout that draws on a variety of dance styles including club, urban, and Latin.

Active Agers*

Join us for this  fun and informative program designed specifically for those 50 plus. Cardio, Resistance, Stretching and Balancing components will be included. The program will be designed to meet the needs and abilities of the participants in a supportive and motivational atmosphere.  An educational/discussion  of a variety of topics is a component of the program.

Group Cycle
Cycle your way to health. Cardiovascular workout guiding you through various levels of intensity on the bike.  Please bring a towel and a water bottle.

Group Fight
Group Fight™ is a gripping hour that burns a ton of calories and builds total body strength. Tap into the hottest mixed martial arts movements done at a rapid-fire pace to smash your cardio fitness! From the boxing ring to the fighting cage, Group Fight combines cutting-edge moves with thrilling music. This electric experience is addictive! FIGHT FOR IT!

Group Power

Group Power is your hour of power! This 60 minute barbell program strengthens all your major muscles in an inspiring, motivating group environment with fantastic music and awesome instructors. With simple, athletic movements such as squats, lunges, presses and curls, Group Power is for all ages and fitness levels. Discover results, discover Group Power!

HIIT 
A form of interval training  alternating short periods of intense anaerobic exercise with less-intense recovery periods. These short, intense workouts provide improved athletic capacity and condition.  This program will make use of the functional space, using equipment such as: the tire, plyo box, kettlebells, ladders, etc.

Women on Weights*
This course is designed specifically for educating women on resistance training.  Up to date nutrition, fitness information, proper exercise techniques, safety and motivation.  Led by a certified YMCA Fitness Professional.

Yoga
Techniques focus on postures, breathing and meditation. Participants will gain strength and flexibility, while teaching mind and body relaxation.  We also offer off-site Yoga at two locations: Ilderton Community Centre and Delaware Community Centre. Call the branch to learn more!


Zumba

Zumba is a fusion of high energy and motivating music with unique, Latin inspired moves and combos that allow you to dance the hour away! Fun and easy to do!

Tabata
This popular form of high intensity interval training consists of 8 rounds of ultra high intensity exercises in a specific 20 seconds on, 10 seconds off interval.

Cycle & Strength
This all encompassing workout consists of a 30 minute cardio workout followed by a 30 minute strength training workout.
