Location: Middlesex Centre YMCA

Start Date: ASAP
Compensation: Minimum wage

Responsibilities:  

- Supervise and care for children ages 3 months - 12 years 
- Lead a variety of activities with children, such as; story time, crafts, games
- Communicate and interact with children, parents/guardians, coworkers and leadership staff
- Ensure the safety of our participants by adhering to our policies and procedures

Qualifications & Experience:

- Experience with children an asset
- Standard First Aid and CPR certified
- Completed and clear Criminal Reference Check

Position: Part Time Membership Services Representative, Centre Branch YMCA

Start Date: ASAP / September 2019

Responsibilities:

• Serve each member, participant, potential member, volunteer and staff with prompt courteous service when they visit in person or on the phone
• Stay informed and up to date on all YMCA programs and services
• Solve member concerns in a customer service - oriented manner
• Ensure immediate communication of escalated member issues to Membership Manager
• Promote membership sales and services in a positive and professional manner
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of membership area including atrium
• Accurate registrations in computer system for all YMCA memberships and programs, including precision and accuracy in all monetary transactions and adherence membership set up and cash handling polices
• Provide exceptional tours to potential members and participants that adhere to guidelines and YMCA Canada Standards

Other Job Details:

• 4-32 hours per week, based on current schedules and future needs
• Must be available to work a variety of shifts including early mornings, weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays

Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous customer service and sales experience
• Current Criminal Reference Check including Vulnerable Persons Screening
• Current First Aid and CPR is an asset

Position: Part-Time Personal Trainer & Wellness Coach

Location: Bostwick Community Centre, YMCA & Library

Start Date: September 2019

Compensation: $14-$25 per hour

Responsibilities:  

Customer Service: Provides fitness floor supervision, including greeting each Member by name whenever possible and servicing their fitness needs during scheduled shift.
Varied shift commitment including weekday/weeknight/ and weekend times.
Program Development and Quality: Models commitment and service excellence through the direct development and delivery of quality programs
Communication/Relationship Building 
Will work towards Personal Training sales goal monthly

Qualifications & Experience:

Related education or certifications (personal training required).
Understanding of physical fitness principles
Outstanding people skills are essential
Experience in group fitness is an asset
First Aid and CPR
Completed criminal reference check

Location: Stoney Creek Community Centre & YMCA

Responsibilities:  
- Manage, coach and support the program team to provide quality program
- Develop and implement an annual program plan, and introduce creative and innovative program options or services on an ongoing basis to enhance program quality and member service
- Perform Human Resource management (including recruitment/selection, training, performance management, recognition) for the program staff/volunteer team 
- Provide direct leadership and direct delivery to role model YMCA Standards, YMCA values and Commitment to Service
- Develop and involve volunteers through training, relationship building and appreciation events
- Make decisions and solve problems regarding programs, member concerns and behaviors
- Direct involvement in Avocado registrations and waitlist management 
- Develop and sustain good member, staff, volunteer and partner relations
- Understand and support YMCA philanthropic initiatives
 
Qualifications & Experience:
- Post secondary degree/diploma in Recreation, Physical Education or related experience
- Minimum 1 years related work experience
- Minimum 1 years staff/volunteer supervisory experience
- Current Standard First Aid, CPR certification 
- Current Criminal Record check including Vulnerable Position Screening

Problem Solving – Identifying issues and coming up with possible solutions, selecting appropriate responses and implementing them
